Hooves quietly smacked across the ground as the beautiful, buckskin mare trotted across the pavement. Her shimmering blue eyes were gleaming with health, and her pelt was dripping wet. Ren had only just got out of practicing in the Oasis where the moon spirits were kept. The mare had gone there often to train alone, or to think, though she usually didn't use her skills for violence, but if she was pushed that far, she wanted to be ready.
A smile was plastered on her face as she continued forward, watching the colts, and a few select fillies, practice water bending. Her brow furrowed as she stopped to watch, her coat still dripping wet, and some places on her fur starting to frost from the cold.
Her fail flicked as she watched the training, her way was much different, but every master had a different style it seemed.

"I used to think this scar marked me; the mark of the banished prince, cursed to chase the Avatar forever. But lately, I've realized I'm free to determine my own destiny, even if I'll never be free of my mark."
Hooves crunched against the snow that littered the ground of the Northern Water Tribe. I wasn't used to this cold, and the last time I was here was a very long time ago. Though I could easily remember it, as it was an important time in my life. I was here to kidnap the Avatar, bring him to my father to restore my honour. I remember I fought with Katara, and was even successful with kidnapping the Avatar. But in the end they ended up saving me, bringing me back to my uncle in a sort, but I started the chase all over again. Until I got to Ba Sing Se, where I went on a hiatus of sorts from chasing the Avatar. Even though I was displeased with it.
But I was here now. My breath steamed in front of me, mostly because I ran a hot temperature to keep my flame going. I was in the Plaza of this place. Amber eyes stared at the passing horses. I concealed my large scar with my thick forelock, I didn't want to be stopped in the middle of my walk. I didn't know how these people would act toward fire benders. Perhaps it would have been a better idea to bring Katara here, she was well known and liked here. But I shrugged it off, I could hold my own.
There were horses training, and I stood to watch. I sometimes watched Katara as she practised her water bending. Hers was similar as she was trained here, but she had gotten her own style over the years. She had even taught Aang how to water bend, so his was a variation of hers and his own. Plus his past lives of course. I glanced at the students, just as an innocent by stander. I guess the real reason why I was here was because I wanted to find out if they had gotten a Chief yet, but by the looks of things they still hadn't found one.
Off to the side was another horse watching. From the corner of my eye I saw that it was probably a she and that she was a buckskin. But I made no move to make conversation. I wanted to keep low on the radar.
