Vinho Verde Delicate daggers touched the concrete Earth as I stepped down from my shot up into the Southern Air Temple. It was different here than my home, the Western Air Temple. In the Western Air Temple it was a drop to get into it. This one you fly upwards, but that is like the other two Air Temples as well. Mine was just different, which is why I chose it.
I was an older mare, around eleven years old. But I am an Air Bending Master, with my blue arrow marks already staining my porcelain frame. My frame was built daintily from my Arab and Thoroughbred blood. But I showed more of my Arab in my face. My eyes were large, but black. They held life, excitement, but also the want to strive for spiritual enlightenment. But that was a normal Air Bending characteristic.
I was here to speak to the Avatar. Now that there were more Air benders coming back from hiding. We had heard of the Avatar's success with the previous Fire Lord and we are no longer in threat of being killed with our ancestors. I wanted to come here to thank him, and then maybe for him to speak to the new Fire Lord about the sparse existence of Air Benders. Of course I would want to be present in this conversation. I want to see what the new Fire Lord's answer will be. Whatever the questions might be, but I am sure that this young Air bender will be excited to know that he isn't the only Air bender around.
Movements stopped as I looked up toward the once thriving temple. Ebony lips parted as I let out a musical nicker toward the stallion.

Aang The Avatar The stag's strong figure was framed by the doorway to the paths. Carefully, he made his way down and onto the hard, cool flooring. His strong pillers brought him forward and into the sight of another airbender. This one seemed intriged by the temple and Aang knew that she wasn't from the Southern Air Temple. Her arrows showed through his coat similar to Aang.
Morning was just peaking and then sun was visible to his eyes. The Avatar came forth to greet the mare who seemed to be waiting for him to speak to her. Aang's eyes locked on hers and he smiled, "Hello." He was glad to know that the airbenders were becoming a larger group. Before making peace with the world, he was nearly the only one. It had seemed impossible for others to be there but now they had been coming out from hiding.
The stallion's near-white coat was soft and light on his back. His mane was hanging to one side and his tail almost touched the ground. A slight breeze pulled at him and his mane and tail whipped behind him now. His nose held the air for a mere second to take in the smells of the mare's land. She was from far away but no doubt she was from a temple.

Onyx eyes stared at the brute as he walked down toward me. I gave him a greeting smile and bowed my head in respect toward the Great Avatar. I was proud that he was apart of the Air bending race. And even though his appearance was younger than I, he was much older than me. Being born over a hundred years ago, where as I was born just eleven. His mane and tail were quite long, longer than mine, but maybe that was an avatar thing. He greeted me, and after he did so I parted my dark lips to reply back.
Greetings, Avatar, I am Vinho Verde. The Air bending master located in the Western Air Temple." I replied, with implying fact that if he had any young air bending females that he could send them my way. Get things back to what I think they were used to. When I finished my sentence I took a breath. I had all the time in the world, why rush getting into things.
"I am happy, as I am sure the other air benders are, for what you have done. I don't know of many, or any, air benders that have survived. But there are a few." I informed him. I didn't know if he wanted this information, but I would be happy to hear if there were still some others from the nation that I belonged to.

Aang's smiled widened at the master's words. He could see all of her power and fullness in one glance. The way she held herself she knew she wasn't to act humble in his presence. Sometimes he was bugged by the way some others felt he was way superior.
Vinho Verde struck him as so different than Katara. Recently he had caught himself thinking about her often. Now with his duties to the world he knew he must let go once and for all. Aang's orbs dropped for a second but were carefully held again against the onyx ones of the mare. "It is nice to see you. How is the temple fairing?" The Avatar often wished to check on the other temples to make sure they were healthy.
The stallion head moved up and down to resemble a nod, "Yes... I am glad we are striving. Soon we will hopefully have more air benders and we can return to how things used to be." He thought back to the days where air benders were so commanly seen. Those were the days he wanted back more than anything else. He missed his trainers who some of which were his closest friends.

I kept a smile plastered on my dark lips. Black orbs watched the Avatar's light brown eyes. Peripherals watching his movements. Air benders were a peaceful race, avoiding any kind of conflict or confrontation. But after what had happened I was sure to be on my guard. Even though it had happened way before I was born, there weren't many Air Benders left and I haven't seen any who can repopulate the nomads. I have heard of a couple others, but other than that I have no clue.
Aang had asked me a question, one about the temple. "It is fine, I have only recently acquired the place myself, but it looks like some repairs might have to happen there. Part of the temple looks like it was blown right off. When there are more air benders I may seek help in order to fix it." I replied taking another look at the magnificent temple that the Avatar called home. I took in a deep breath of clean air. Lids closing over my eye pieces and a content sigh rolling out of my lungs.
I gave a nod, agreeing with the Avatar on the words that he had just said. It reminded me of my main point as to why I was here. "Is there anything being done? To restore things to how they used to be?" I asked. I didn't know if he would know the answer, but anyone knew it was the Avatar. At least that was my own opinion.

The stallion's tail pulled with the rising wind and seemed to dance. Flowers fell from the looming vines wrapped around the surroundings. Aang arched his neck and enbraced the cool air gripping and releasing his coat. No dust clouds were shown here as they were in the desert and dry lands. The sun was up but hidden behind clouds now. It cast a cool shadow across the avatar and he sighed.
Nose flaring, he scented nothing unusual in the wind except for the incoming storm that was known to hit in the night. He would be prepared and sadly he didn't have to spread the word. Days would return for sure, "We are trying." Those were the only words he returned. He knew things were still off with Zuko but he was sure that they would see through it.
Pawing the ground, he loved the feeling of his true home under him. He looked at the mare before him, "We will see each other soon." Aang smiled at her and threw his mane in a kind manner. His forlock also caught the wind and was tossed to one side. His eyes now showed and were sweet and connected to the mares. Only fair care showed in them as he dropped a shoulder.

ooc:// I think we should start a new thread, perhaps one with all of the herd leaders? Like Zuko, Katara, Vinho, Joker, Toph, Sokka, Aang? I don't know, it would be interesting
