The blood bay bodice moved swiftly, those chocolate eyes of mine darting around nervously. Banner flagged behind me, long tendrils flapping around in the wind. My mane danced like wild flames, my long strides were pulling me along at a rack, a gait my breed was known for. I lifted my stocky, but elegant head. Speeding up, falling into a lope. I kicked my heels up into the air before letting a deep bellow fall from my jugular.
Everything seemed to be going well since I had been here, I had a home, a friend, and I was going to learn how to control my powers. Not just fuel my flames with anger.
Perfect.
Soon, I would be one of the most powerful horses around. A grin pulled up my black lips, revealing my pearls. I flicked my tail again, the flies were now chasing me as I faded on out into the middle of the meadow. Grass sweeping against my black stockings. A rough snort blew from my nostrils, mucus going everywhere. The grass was a bit crumpled and dead beneath my hooves as I started trotting. I soon slowed to a walk, sweat was slowly creating beads and rolling down my coat.
The sun was shining brightly, making the creek shimmer beneath the brilliant rays. I stopped at the creek and dipped my maw to the liquid, pulling it down my throat.

Even simple things made her happy, like this beautiful meadow. Reign took in all it's glory. Some would think of her as weird and crazy for taking intense interest in such things, but she didn't mind what the others said. She kept true to herself, and that was better than pretending to be someone she wasn't. The girl wouldn't be able to enjoy life that way. Besides, she would prove all of them wrong one day, when she becomes a master fire bender and gains honor. She'd be welcomed to the palace! Oh, just the thought of living there made her heart crave it even more. She'd be known.
Often times like this would happen when she ran away with her thoughts and got a bit carried away. She was young, though, and still had her dreams and had a wild imagination. Reign was very creative. If only that would show in her bending. She was still quite the amateur. It was only the beginning of fall, yet it was rather hot outside. The mare became parched from all her walking today, and therefore went over to where there was a water supply. It wasn't too far off from where she was.
As she came over, she dipped her head to drink and quench her thirst. The girl was oblivious to the fact that there was another horse present. That is, until she was satisfied and lifted her head up, only to find the male where he was standing. Her tail flicked, and a warm smile came across her lips once more. In her opinion, she felt that she was good with people. She wasn't shy and could keep up a conversation - most of the time. "Hello, there," she spoke sweetly.

The wind blew a bit, a snort errupted from my nares as I lifted my head. Water dripped from my maw, I parted my lips, jaw toughening a bit. There was a damp smell in the area, there was alot of clouds, but it was still a beautiful day. I could sense a storm coming upon me in an hour or so. I snorted again, boa arching slightly as I took in the scent of another. They wasn't far, pretty close actually.
I turned in the lush grass, tall blades scraping against my blood colored legs. The sound of hooves thudding against the ground bellowed in my ears. They were moving at a fast pace, I turned again. My muscles were tense beneath my silk coat, muscles rolled harshly as I loosened my jaw muscle but only managed to tighten it again. I paced a bit, back and forth before stopping to get another cool, sip of water. My harks threatened to pin againt my torso as I bounced forward a bit, splashing the water as a mare wandered upon me.
I rolled my eyes as she ignored me and started drinking.
The regular mare.
I thought as I watched her intensely, harks pricking forward as her voice rolled out in lovely vibes as she puled her head from the creek. I flicked my black whipcord before replying in my gruff voice. "Hello. Who might you be, pretty lady?" I asked, adding a compliment on there, it made a girl feel good. But, it was the truth, no lying there. I dipped my head to her, turning back torwards the water and backing out of it. Moving my long, elegant body fastly.
Chocolate eyes watched her, taking in every curve of her golden body. That made me wonder, of what alliance was she? I was a Fire Bender, my coat was a blood red color and my eyes showed sparks and all the energy that my body managed to hold. Nothing about her showed that little spark of enthusiasm, besides her flirty, taunting voice that rolled so sweetly.

It was true, most girls did love hearing those kinds of things. She still smiled at him, being her usual overly happy self. "You don't need to flatter me, kind stranger." Reign whinnied a little, still pleased anyway by his kind words. It was rare to find a gentlemanly figure around these days, that she was aware of. However, since the war ended, from what she's seen, people have started to calm down and be more relaxed. She liked it that way. War was stupid and pointless in her opinion.
She noticed that he was what she called 'inspecting' her. So, she figured she'd do the same for only a moment. That was all that was needed, for right away she knew he was of fire nation like herself. His red colored coat said it all. "Fire nation, huh?" She commented. "Same here!" She exclaimed, stating that they have something in common. The mare acted all friendly to him, almost like she knew him already. She found out that by doing that it helped others to open up a bit...even the shy ones.
A delicate breeze blew and her mane and tail blew behind her with the wind. It was a lovely day indeed. Her mind easily trailed off a lot, and somehow the wind got her thinking about air benders and then to her own bending. And then she thought, does this male fire bend?! She grew so curious that if she held it in any longer she'd probably start shaking with excitement. "Are you a bender?" She blurted out, barely getting the words across. Reign could be such a child at times.

A large grin appeared on my ebony lips, she giggled, it was so childish and gentle-like. I laughed a bit too, it was soft but was gruff, it was also true. When horses forced a laugh it was awkward and rough, you couldn't help but smile for this mare. She would brighten up your day, like the very sun itself. I tilted my blood colored head to the side a bit, taking in her smile. Beautiful. Thinking of the sun, it made me think of her, she was golden in color. Wow. "You deserve it." I said truthfully, rolling my shoulders and shifting my weight.
I had straightened my head up and an invisible eyebrow cocked as I noticed she was looking over me as well. I stood up a bit, raising my elegant head. My long, black, thick tail was arched off of my haunches and I gave her a broad smile. My muscles locked a bit as I asked her. "How do I look?" I darted around, and then stopped back in front of her. I shrugged a bit, looking at the emerald grass blades and then back up at her. "Yes." As she said that she was of the fire nation too, I smiled and laughed.
That was something we had in common, I normally wasn't this happy or this nice. I usually didn't play around, but this mare, it was impossible to stay straight around her. "No way!" I gave a small shout, I still couldn't believe it. A breeze was starting to blow. I did a little dance as strands of my mane and tail blew around me. My smoothe, elegant nares flared as the wind blew me her scent.
Delightful.
"Yes. I am. I am in training with Zuko at the moment. I want to learn to be a better bender and control my flames." I said proudly, yeah, so what, I was a bit cocky at times. A bit too proud, it was just my nature. Some horses would roll their eyes at me, but others would be fascinated, that was what I wanted, to win everyone over so one day. I would be the great Fire Bender, I would take over the lands. I just needed a mate to stand beside of me and a loyal herd to follow behind me. "Are you a fire bender?"
I asked, the question growing deeper into my thoughts.... Hmmm...

And she giggled even more when he was conducted that silly act of presenting himself to her. "Nice!" Reign was thoroughly pleased with his confirmation of being from the fire nation. And the way he came right back at her with a happy attitude made it all the better. She could not tell that he was usually a grouch and wasn't ever in much of a happy mood. In fact, if she ever met him in that state she would be completely confused. This guy seemed like he was on top of the world in his mind, as was she.
Her eyes grew with awe and intent with him speaking of training with Zuko and trying to get better. She didn't care that he wasn't a master bender. And besides, he was learning how to get better with the almighty Firelord! The naive girl could not believe her ears. This was far too exciting. She looked up to the Firelord in every way, and wished that she would one day have the honor to even meet him and be in his presence, let alone train with him! That was such a dream. Her mouth grew wide open in astonishment. "You are so lucky. I would love to be in your hooves and practice with Zuko. He's so amazing."
He as if she was a bender too and she nodded. His story was almost like hers. She could bend, but it definitely needed some work. She would give anything to become a master bender, a known and powerful being of the fire nation. She's had that fantasy play through her head over and over again, a myriad of times. "I would love nothing more than to become an amazing bender myself. But I have so much work to do, and my training has not yet started. I cannot begin my journey of becoming better if I have no mentor." Reign spoke so much more serious now. She didn't sound like the little joy that she was. Talking about this always made her more serious, though, for it was a serious matter in her heart and mind.
