Princess, Fire Lord, and now a peasant. In the Earth Kingdom. Fantastic. She stood in the low light. The wide, dark sky spread above her. The stars had seemed to disappear. Azula was plotting. She didn't know what quite yet, but deep down in her evil, sadistic mind she was coming up with a plan. A plan that would overthrow the Fire Nation. A plan that would make her come back on top. In her true position. Not some dirty peasant who lived in the lower ring of Ba Sing Se. She was a master fire bender! She didn't deserve to be here.
She could hear the bickering and laughter of some criminal equines, probably stripping a innocent horse of their goods. Maybe she did belong here. In a way atleast. She was a criminal. She crazily, chuckled to herself. If these horses found out who she was, all of Ba Sing Se would come crashing down, in fear. Well that's what would happen in her mind.
She needed to find Zuko. Kill him. Take her position of Fire lord and destroy all peace that the Avatar brought. She was not scared of Zuko, the Avatar, no one. Her father was weak.. but she was strong.

It concealed my scar which was my most prominent marking that gave away my identity. I didn't know what the outcome would be if I walked the streets without a damn. I did have to be careful, the Fire Nation was under such scrutiny because of what had happened. I had to do things carefully, like walking on egg shells. Sometimes it got tiring and I needed a break.
I would have loved to take a break, I had even suggested a vacation to Katara. But then McKenna came along and that is her centre of attention, a filly that wasn't even ours. My head shook with distaste and a bit of anger. I hated being angry with Katara about anything, but this just seemed to send me over the edge. Frankly the pastures weren't a good place to rid of my fire anger. I had to get away for a bit.
This was the lower ring of Ba Sing Se, the poorest of them all. This was probably the place that needed the most help out of all the other Earth Kingdoms. At the moment there was no Earth King, so this place was just being run by only Avatars no what. Perhaps Aang was filling in for a little bit? I can't be so sure.
Hooves rolled across the dry surface. A crunch as I walked over the rocks and dry grass that littered the ground. My ebony harks flicked back and forth, whipcord occasionally swatting at my sides. A deep breath came over my large frame and it came out as a noisey sigh.
I hadn't seen many horses that I had during the war. Mai, Ty Lee, and even Uncle for that matter. But Iroh was more concerned about his tea shop and his secret society. A grin formed on my face, I barely noticed the chuckles that I was hearing from ally ways and dark corners.

As she trotted through Ba Sing Se alone, the word 'miserable' was practically written all over her face. She was never one to really show emotion in the first place, let alone happiness. However, a pang of distaste and resentment grew on her quickly. It was ever since Zuko had dumped her. And after everything they've been through together, he ended up prancing over to Katara...the oh so sweet and beautiful one. The thought of it made her sick. Fine - if he wants her than go right ahead. Mai didn't care, she never cared about anything. She wouldn't let herself.
A long, exasperated sigh was let out. She was bored beyond belief. It's not like she had the loud and obnoxious Ty Lee around. And now that Azula was somewhere unknown, that was one less person for her to talk to. Friends and company were running short for her these days, and it seems that now that the war is over..her life was falling apart as she knew it. It's almost like her life was somewhat better when chaos was around her.
Mai forgot where she was for a moment and had to stop to take a look around. Her outer being may looked emotionless and thoughtless, but her mind contained a jumbled mess of thoughts. After coming back to reality, she remembered the fact that she was in Ba Sing Se. Where she was exactly in this place , she did not know. "I hate this place." Just as she searched through the area, she caught sight of movement from the corner of her eye. She didn't believe what she saw at first, but she went to look again and there he was. Zuko. Karma was here to get back at her. Mai wanted to quickly run off before he saw her, but something seemed to take over her, and she began to casually walk toward him instead. "What brings you here, Firelord," she spoke cooly.

She heard the sound of hooves clattering against the stone streets. She listened, intently. She had calmed quite a bit ever since the war ended. She lost to Zuko, because she was becoming mental. Now she was almost completely calm again. Her bending was almost back to normal. Her rage, plenty.
She strained to see in the darkness, all she could see was a painted figure walking low. Hiding their face? Maybe. She couldn't see their face. Their forelock was covering it and the darkness wouldn't let her. The horse almost looking familiar.. Too familiar.
Then another figure appeared. A black shadow. She looked familiar too. Okay, maybe she was still mental. Two familiar faces in an unlikely place. Ba Sing Se. Then again, uncle had many visitors. That traitor! She rolled her eyes. She came back from her thoughts. To reality. What brings you here firelord, the black figure spoke. Wait. Azula could recognize that plain, boring voice anywhere. Mai? Her eyes widened and she stepped forth. Is it possible? Was she looking for Azula? Then, she remembered what she said. Almost too overwhelmed, by Mai being here, she realized it was Zuko! She gritted her teeth in anger. Her hooves start to spark in rage.
She stepped onto the street, moonlight showing her bay paint coat. "Well hello. It's nice to see you here," she smiled plainly, "Zuko, Mai." She flicked her tail and narrowed her eyes, a smile spread across her muzzle. She stood still. She wanted to see the reaction of these two. Azula was back.

A smile peered on my lips, Katara would be so strong right now. If I made her angry, and there was a water source, I would be drenched in so much water I wouldn't be fire bending in months. I let out a small laugh as I walked.
Hoof beats behind me made me stop and freeze slightly. My defences were now up, I could easily blast fire from small movements in case this was an attack. But for the moment I turned around.
The mare I noticed was one whom I recognized, though I hadn't seen her in awhile, probably for good reason. She is Mai, the mare that I had dumped (for a lack of a better word) not long after I got together with Katara. She spoke to me now, her words the usual type when she spoke.
I gave her a smile, then parted my lips to talk to her. "Just taking a break. Yourself?" I asked. I wanted to lighten her mood a little bit, I was feeling actually awkward. She looked well, however.
Another voice came, I turned my head quickly, harks pinning back against my skull as I realized who it was. "Azula." I muttered to the mare who was my sister. Was this a set up? Are Mai and Azula friends again? Is Ty Lee going to flip down from the sky and take me out? I watched the two with my amber eyes suspiciously.
A loud breath came from my lungs as my eyes shifted from one mare to the next. I had been practising for such occasions, I was prepared for this if they decided to attack me. I could redirect Azula's lighting if she tried to strike me. But I had to watch Mai as well, she was a master with the sharp pointy things.
My hooves stood firmly on the ground, my head held high as a breeze whisked my long forelock from my eyes, my large scar now visible for all to see. I couldn't keep myself secret any much longer anyhow. Cover was blown.

He tried lightening up the mood by putting a faint smile on his face. Why was he so cute? It pained her to see him deep inside, but never in a million years would she admit to anyone, even herself. Her face showed no emotion. And, before she even had a chance to respond to her ex, a voice she knew all too well came forth. It was almost like everything was on cue, that they were a part of some intense and intriguing movie scene. How corny. Mai's face slowly turned to her once ally, and now enemy, Azula. The mare looked better than she had last time Mai saw her, but who knows. Azula was always the one to fool others. She was quite good at it.
"Azula, never thought I'd see you again." She said in a dull tone, sounding like she didn't care, as always. But that's just how she sounded all the time. Her voice had such a monotonous ring to it. Zuko was clearly pissed to see his sister. Not that it wasn't necessary. Although Azula was on the verge of slightly insane last time she remembered, she couldn't decide between who was the evil sibling at the moment. She disliked them both. Neither of them were trustworthy. Then again, she never really trusted them in the first place, especially Azula. You'd be a fool if you did.
The black and gloomy looking mare turned here head slightly a few times, switching back and forth from looking at Zuko to Azula. She sighed. "Well, this is weird." Mai knew that this wasn't done on purpose. This was a mere accident for them to all meet here. A real unfortunate case in her eyes. She didn't really feel like being here any longer. Mostly the reason was because she didn't enjoy either of their presence. But, she could also see where exactly this was going. Zuko would throw a few spit-fires at Azula, Azula would play coy with him and being completely calm and what not, and Mai would be awkwardly standing to the side of this. Ew, she thought.

She smiled. Zuko looked ready. She rolled her eyes after he muttered her name. She sarcastically muttered, "Zuko." her eyes widening. Azula sighed. She looked to Mai. Her face completely strait, "Nice to see you again, Mai." Although Mai had betrayed her the last time she saw her, she was sorta a friend. Not that she needed any friends. Mai was just another traitor in Azula's life.
Zuko looked back and fourth between me and Mai. "Oh calm down Zuzu," she smiled again, "Don't be so scared.. I am not going to hurt you." Of course she was lying. She wanted to show him how much she improved in fire bending, since they last met.
Mai muttered something, but Azula wasn't paying attention. She was staring at Zuko. She knew he was probably going to make a move and she wanted to be ready. Then again, how would that sound if the Fire Lord burned up Ba Sing Se. Not very good in these times. Ha. Perfect.

"I used to think this scar marked me; the mark of the banished prince, cursed to chase the Avatar forever. But lately, I've realized I'm free to determine my own destiny, even if I'll never be free of my mark."
My slightly narrowed eyes switched from one to the other. I wasn't to sure if I could trust Mai, she did help the others and myself out of that prison, The Boiling Rock and even got herself thrown into a prison because of that. But everything has changed now, our relationship was completely different. I don't feel the same way I do about her as I did back then, did she feel any differently? I know Azula hasn't changed, she still probably wanted my blood. More than ever now.
When Mai spoke I was slightly confused, it seemed as though she wasn't expecting to see Azula. Was this still a trap like I thought it was? Or was this just a coincidence? I straightened myself, I guess I should just let this place out. See what happens. Though I knew that I couldn't trust Azula, Azula was crazy.
When Mai commented on the situation I parted my lips to respond, though I never took my eyes off of Azula. She was the one who I should really worry about right now. "Very."
Azula was speaking now, and she used my nickname. I rolled my eyes, letting a loud breath pass through my flaring nares. "I am not scared, Azula, just simply being cautious." I stated. Azula always lies I muttered in my head over and over. A thing I always said to myself sense I was a foal.
For now though, I would stand my ground, not shoot any fire out of me until it was truly needed. I have learned to control more of my temper sense being with Katara. All I have to do is take deep breaths, no matter how much I want to shoot Katara's head off right now.
"Don't you have better things to be doing during your banishment Azula?" I asked my one time sister.

Not only because she knew that the master fire bender was lying, as usual, but Mai didn't think it was nice to see her. She figured Azula was out of her life, and she didn't mind it. It was definitely much less hectic when she didn't have to be involved in the girl's crazy schemes. Mai always hated them. She never really gave much effort into those on her part. Nothing was really worth the trouble to try that hard - except that one time when she risked everything just to save Zuko's butt. The mare rolled her eyes to herself. She had to get that guy out of her head. It wouldn't be easy, though. After all, he's the only one she's ever truly cared about.
He agreed with her comment. She wished he didn't, for it made her blush slightly. It wasn't even that big of a deal, but it reminded her of the good ole days. Mai used to always make comments on things, and Zuko would either laugh or agree with her. This moment was far from those past situations- but even the smallest thing could remind her of it. Inside, she could be a little weak. It was hard for her to control things. Her outer expressions were the only thing to keep her safe, and to help her to make things easier. The way she handled it wasn't healthy, but it's who she was...ever since she was a child. She wouldn't change now.
Once again, the sibling rivalry was starting up again. As usual. Really, it was just way to typical now. So unoriginal. Mai made an exasperated sigh. It was just like she foretold to herself. Zuko made another sneer question that Azula should have better things to do during her banishment. Mai couldn't help but bring out a tiny smile. But in her mind she said to herself, Oh, shouldn't go there. The mare stared at Azula with intent eyes, trying to get to the bottom of it. What was Azula feeling? What was she thinking? Clearly, she wouldn't just let her brother walk all over her, would she? Mai stayed quiet the whole time. This wasn't something she wanted to jump right into.

Zuko agreed with Mai. Azula didn't know what on, because of lack of attention but Mai blushed. Azula rolled her eyes. Of course she still liked her brother. She would be on Zuko's side if they actually fought. Instead Zuko just stood there like a gentleman. The avatar and his allies changed him alot. It annoyed her. They would never have any more fun!
Azula kept her perfect expression and she stood in a flawless stance. Her brother spoke. I am not scared, Azula, just simply being cautious. He knew she was lying. Of course. She always lied. She sighed convincingly, "Well actually I was doing something better, until you came." She gave him a disgusted, sarcastic look, "But of course you ruined my night.." It didn't seem like he was going to do anything.. How boring! She decided she wanted to play with him now. Well no, it was a part of her plot in a way.
"Oh Zuko.. You don't understand. I am an outcast here! I need to come back home.." She lowered her head, and forced a tear out for them, "I can't take this any longer!" Wow. She had never done this kind of thing to her brother before. He was usually the one to have to beg to her. Oh Well. All she could hope for was it to work.. If it did, the Fire Nation would be hers. If it didn't.. well Zuko will regret his decision.

Who knows if she got any more horses that were like the Di Lee agents again? Any of these movements could be her telling them to attack. I took a deep breath, my eyes flicking upwards on the roof tops for anything that didn't belong. But I didn't know this place very well.
During my look around I placed my eyes on Mai for a brief second to see her blush. It was only a slight blush, but I still caught it. I quickly turned my head back to Azula, pretending I didn't notice.
Did Mai still have feelings for me? Even after all of this time? Even though I was with Katara now? Did she know that I was with Katara now? I kept my focus on Azula for now, her voice was now piercing my ear drums. I raised an invisible brow. "Really? You have better things to do during your banishment?" I said flatly. I ignored her second comment, how many times had she ruined my life and the life of others around me? She had teamed up with my father despite how many lives were going to be destroyed. No, I didn't care if I ruined her night.
But after that the bay mare went on another rampage. What was this all coming out of? I don't understand about being an outcast? Really Azula? Really? A frown came on my face, eyes narrowed as I watched the tear roll down her cheek. I raised my head up, harks flicking backward. "You are an outcast everywhere Azula. You have been banished from the Fire Nation, you have no more home there." No, I didn't take pitty on this mare. She had done to much for me to even bother taking pitty on her. She deserved to be an outcast.

Was Azula seriously trying to pull that one off on Zuko? She must be more of a fool than Mai thought. Clearly she still wasn't in her right mind to believe that she could somehow pry her way into Zuko's mind and convince him to let her come back. And with her complaining about the hardships of being an outcast? Zuko had to deal with that his whole life. He was an outcast in his father's eyes from the day he was born even. Mai knew. She and him shared a lot of secrets and feelings together.
The mare made a huff sound, as if completely flabbergasted. She added in another sigh, being too over dramatic as usual with how annoying the world was to her. "You guys could really just stop talking now, that'd be great." She said in her dull scratchy voice. As if it wasn't bad enough that she was walking in the streets of Ba Sing Se, she had to also be stuck with these two bickering children. "Really, both of you are so unoriginal it's painful." The girl knew that she got in the middle of things, even when they started to heat up. But this was something she couldn't stand. She would gladly leave if they wished it, but what she wanted was for them to stop. However, she knew getting these two to settle down and walk away from each other was near to impossible.

Air hissed through clenched teeth as Tara gritted them in an irritated manner. Bright optics squinted in sort of a glare and muzzle positioned in sort of a scowl. And yet again I they where not happy with each other. Probably from the tension that 'rebuilding the world' caused. She could care less anymore with all the crap going on. She accepted the responsibility of Mckenna but decided she needed a break from the rambunctious little creature.
She walked through the alleys of Ba sing se the lowest ring. Harks laid back not in a pin but more of an idle position. She wasnt one to lurk in the shadows yet she couldnt quite hide her coat which stood out like 'wow look at me I'm blue'. Blending in wasnt always easy. She glanced around nothing interesting came into view until about fifteen more minutes of wandering. She caught site of three figures. All painted in unique patterns though one was absolutely black. The bay paint and black paint showing resemblance to each other. She pondered for a moment before recognition clicked in her mind. Mai. Azula. Zuko. Of course trying to take a break never seemed to work with the two leads. She halted contemplating continuing.
If I don't keep on going they will think I'm either avoiding them or scared out of my pants. No I would keep walking and if they had a problem they could bring it up. Of course Azula would being as impulsive as she is. And Mai, well she might just get defensive being around Zuko and all but them again she was pretty chill so she wouldnt be the issue. Though being around Zuko was putting me on edge at the moment. We could talk it out, although I would rather not do it at this moment in time in front of the other two females.
She was pulled back into reality, supposing she looked kind of dumb standing in the middle of the road. She continued on her was closing in on them. "Zuko, Azula, Mai." She nodded putting on a small fake smile.

Ty Lee walked into Ba Sing Se. She lifted her head. Azula and Mai along with Zuko were there and another mare. Since she was excited about it she couldn't help but blur, "Azula! Mai!" She said and becames to canter toward them she neighed and tossed her head. "I missed you!' she cried. She looked a Zuko with a breif nod. She would say they were exactly enmies or were they? She wasn't sure. She stamped her hoof to shoo a fly as she looked at her friends. A smiled grew up her muzzle She tossed her head once again looking at Azula and Mai waiting for a reply.
