The sparkling liquid abyss before her brought a smile to her face. Even barely knowing how to bend could send tingles up her spine when she saw the substance. She pranced forward sending sand everywhere. Her short fuzzy tail standing straight as hot arabian blood coursed through her veins. She sloshed through the shallows bending the tiny droplets of water onto her spine giving her a brindled look and keeping the heat of the sun beating down on her back at bay. She shook her crown tucking her head to her chest and prancing in a circle. Bucking playfully she hopped over waves dipping her head under the water to stare at the fish. Before popping her head back up again. She made her way back to the shallows shaking the water off the droplets flying everywhere. Short mane and tail where plastered to their base crystalline blue eyes spied around curiously.

A slight grin played on my lips as I trotted with high knees toward the beach. My mother, father, and sister were at Ember Island in our beach stable. Mom let me go and explore, as long as I wasn't out to late. I usually listened to her, and respected her curfew times. But sometimes Azula came along and screwed everything up. Which ended up me getting in trouble with dad for keeping Azula out to late. I didn't like hanging out with Azula, and I think that she knows that because she is always with me. Bugging me. But mom distracted Azula so that I could sneak out. She knew that Azula got me in trouble lots with dad.
I was just exploring another side of the beach. There weren't many other foals or horses around. Mostly because dad liked things nice and private so he ordered that no one else be here while we were. But a few of his good friend nobles were allowed to come. Not many of them had kids though. There was Mai and Ty Lee, but they were Azula's friends. And they are all crazy.
Amber eyes looked at the edge of the beach. The waves were steady, kind of strong. I used to go in water, despite me being a fire bender. It was nice and cold when the days were just to hot. Even for a fire bender. I heard splashing up ahead. I perked my almost black (pretty much a dark grey) harks and let out a little snort. I didn't think that the girls were around here. Maybe another horse is here? Perhaps Uncle Iroh and cousin Lu Ten were here. But I shook my head at my silly thoughts. They were at the war front trying to get into Ba Sing Se.
So then I went on, venturing forth to figure out who was in the water. I figured out that I was out of Fire Nation territory but I still went on. No one messed with someone from the Fire Nation, especially one of the royal family. I soon spotted a dark filly, her coat suggested that she was of roan colouring. I narrowed my eyes at her. She looked like a horse from the Water Tribe. Judging by the blue beading that was laced around in her hair.
I walked into the water, my ears slightly back as I came up fairly close. "Why are you here?" I asked in my childish voice. I wanted to seem strong, so I made my tone try to fit that.
