Sokka's hooves hit the marble floor with loud 'clanks'. His black frame swayed slightly, his mate Suki has decided that he go visit his sister and Zuko. He sighed, he had always hated these floors, you couldn't sneak anywhere in this place!
"Stupid floor!"
He snorted as he started to jump around, trying to stop the clanking of hooves, but it wouldn't stop. Finally he found carpet and stood on it, a look of triumph on his face.
"Cant keep clankin the Sokka around!"

Amber eyes scanned the area. I was looking up at the past Fire Lords. The past three were shameful and a disgrace. My father, grandfather, and great grand father. I wanted to hang my head, or at least rip them down. They didn't deserve the title of Fire Lord. But it was apart of Fire Nation history, foals would learn about it. Then they will learn how I have come to change it.
Nostrils flared as a familiar scent entered them. Harks flicked forward as I tore my eyes away from the large frames. Clip Clops of hooves could be heard just a small distance away. But as soon as I had smelt him I knew who it was. He was Sokka, the brother to my Queen. I had a smile on my face as I started to walk down the hallways to greet him. I could hear him muttering something, and it deepened the grin.
Soon a louder voice, his, echoed into my hears. It would seem that he had reached the carpet. I turned a corner and spotted the dark stallion. My two tone coat set almost a contrast to his, almost. I parted my lips to speak to him. "Sokka, if you are trying to sneak up on others around here it helps to keep your voice down." I said in a light teasing tone. I am sure that Katara would be here soon to greet her brother. But I was surprised that Suki wasn't here.

"Sneaking? I wasnt doing any sneaking."
He replied in a matter of fact tone, then he looked over to see Zuko. His brother in-law, he bowed his head in greeting then breifly glared at the floor.
"You need to hook this place up with more carpet, that 'clanking' is driving me crazy!"
His head shook as he looked beyond Zuko, though his sister wasn't there. He furrowed his brow and looked back to his brother in-law, a questioned look on his face. Though it looked quiet ridiculous on Sokka.
"Know where my sister and her magic water is?"
He asked, though he didnt want to sound like he didnt want to see Zuko to. He did really, but Sokka was a confusing horse... That forget when he drank cactus juice, so he would continue to do it.

The smile stuck on my face as Sokka spoke. He had always been the sarcastic funny one of the group. I was more the serious angry one. I guess I am still kind of that way, but someone had to act like the grown up when there was a time of crisis. I was more laid back now though, but I guess that is the reason why Katara and I got together. It really didn't work out with Mai, the relationship just lost the edge that it had. Last I heard Mai was off with Azula, even though Azula was banished. She is still around here. I just hope she isn't going to try to take over the Fire Nation. All the hard work that had been put into rebuilding the Earth would be gone.
"Well, the hard flooring is also a security feature. If someone isn't supposed to be here, then we know it. Or if someone is in fact trying to sneak up on someone, then they don't get their face blown off with fire. Or get soaked with water." I added the last part for Katara's sake. Being the only water bender in this Kingdom must be difficult in some ways. I would assume that she misses her people, which is why she leaves so often.
"She should be here shortly. Anyone could hear you in this City." I gave a small joke. I was just starting to wonder where Katara was myself, this is her brother. And we did have that one time where we did get along good when we rescued their father and Suki out of the Boiling Rock. And now we are brothers-in-law. I don't really know how he feels about that. Would it be different if it were Aang or some of the other suitors Katara had?

"Who would want to ruin this gorgeous face?"
He said seriously as Zuko spoke, though he noticed the look of amusement he had on his face. He knew that he had always been the 'joker sarcastic' one of the group, though he didnt mind when others laughed at him, he wished they would lay off once in a while.
"Oh haha!"
He whinnied, as he started to trot over to Zuko. Thats when it started again, the clanking. He sighed and a look of failure passed his big black head, a twitch came to his eye every-time he clanked. These floors are going to drive me crazy... He thought to himself.

Katara lay in her extravagant chambers dozing off quietly. The sudden clang of hooves clattering on marble awoke her with a sudden flinch. Azure optics fluttered open flustered by what had just happened. She gave herself a moment before gathering her confused thoughts and rising to her feet.
What. Was. That? What could possibly be disrupting the peace now that Fire Lord Sozan was gone? Ahh. The good old days when the gang was defending innocent people. In a way we where still doing that. Memories played back through my mind. One of the more recent ones when Zuko and I had found the man who killed my father. One I could never understand. Then when we had to split up to find Aang before the comet. "I call going with Zuko" I smiled contently things like that still happened to us. Although Zuko was the one she saw most often her mate. Who'da thought that would happen. I used to hate him and now I was with him. I still felt really bad about leaving Aang. Every once and awhile I felt as though I shouldnt be with Zuko. I pushed those feelings aside almost imediately resentment wouldnt help my relationship with him.
She pushed herself into a swaying walk. She blinked sleepily almost dragging her feet across the polished floor. She yawned as she came into the space where the other two stood. "Sokka" she let his name roll off her tongue. Smiling she nuzzled the sooty stag before returning to her king's side. She outstretched her neck lowering her front end leaning back in a cat like stretch. She returned to a normal stance glancing over to Zuko.
