Raemolre Ranch was a camp originally designed to help both troubled teenagers and animals. When the ranch first opened in 2006 it welcomed troubled teens and animals of all sorts. The ranch has been around for a few years now, and has evolved since the beginning. The ranch has grown a considerable amount, adding new staff, animals, and campers. It is always a work in progress, as new buildings are going up, and old buildings are waiting for their renovations. The program hasn't changed a whole lot since its start. Campers are still taught responsibility and discipline, and the animals are there for every step in their journey. Although they will not be given extra stress, they will be tested. They came to the ranch to help themselves, not to have someone else do it for them. Although counselors will help them along the way, they must discover how to heal within themselves.
The camp itself is located somewhere in the middle of a remote desert in Arizona. The exact whereabouts of Raemolre are kept strictly confidential. Raemolre Ranch was created in 2006, John Raemolre, the founder, created the ranch inside of his old, worn-out cattle ranch. - So although the program itself is only five years in the making, the ranch itself is much older than that. The ranch is surrounded by miles and miles of desert too dangerous to cross on foot. Campers are brought to the ranch either by helicopter or bus. Few campers have tried to "escape" from the ranch, all deciding to eventually return. There is no civilization for at least an hour’s drive from the ranch and little to welcome them if they do decide to try and hoof it.
Those who stay are more than welcome. Animals of all shapes, sizes, and colors can be found on the ranch. Each has their own background story and their own reason, like the campers, for being at the ranch. Together the animals and campers will learn how to get back to living their normal lives. They are proving to the world that as cruel as it is, it will not change their hopes and dreams of a better future.
